Gropius House honours the visionary architect Walter Gropius, founder of the Bauhaus movement and a pioneer of modernism. His philosophy - where design is both functional and beautiful - inspires us to create homes where every detail serves a purpose.
The silhouette of our homes, with its distinctive roof, echoes the traditional Portuguese churrasqueira - a symbol of warmth and togetherness - while optimising light and space. Large windows, natural materials and clever shading create a bright, comfortable living environment.

Co-founder
Over 13 years of experience in business management, process automation, customer service and commercial development.
In the last few years, he has led sales and IT product development in procurement process automation for large companies.
At Gropius, Anton is responsible for business processes, strategic development and operational efficiency. His goal is to create not just innovative homes, but high quality, technologically advanced and functional living spaces that redefine modern architecture.

PAVEL
CHAUNIN
CHAUNIN
Co-founder
Pavel Chaunin is a co-founder of MEL Architecture Bureau. He specialises in low-rise architecture, public and private spaces and exhibition design.
His projects include the 5th Moscow International Contemporary Art
Biennale (2015), the Private Foundation for Contemporary Art (2014) and the finalist concept for the new NCCA building (2013). He has experience of renovating a private house in Portugal and designing beauty salons in Lisbon.
Pavel has also worked on exhibition stands, including a book fair stand in Doha, Qatar, Qatar's national stand for an international business exhibition, and modular stands for 25 Qatari companies. His approach focuses on minimalism, functionality and integration with the surrounding context.
